1T0X1:Survival Evasion, Resist & Escape (SERE) – 1T0X1

Prepare pilots, aircrew (like loadmasters), and other Air Force members with a high risk of capture to escape, evade and return with their honor intact from any type of survival situation Instruct pilots and aircrew members to survive under the following climatic conditions: arctic, desert, tropical, ocean, and temperate Teach SERE course attendees the basics of wilderness living, shelter building, fire making, map and compass navigation, proper backpacking techniques, and food and water procurement SERE trainers will also need to teach SERE course attendees wilderness medicine and basic first aid, signaling to get rescued, escape and evasion techniques, and prisoner of war (POW) survival and resistance methods

Military Duties:

ex. Perform as a member of a fire team during drills and combat.Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.Assist in reconnaissance missions.Process prisoners of war and captured documents.Use, maintain and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, antitank mines, etc.)

Military Duties Translated:

Respond immediately to citizen calls for assistance and to alarms triggered at homes and businesses Maintain a presence in the community that helps to deter crime and provide support to citizens Help to secure crime scenes and ensure that evidence is not removed or tampered with Act as a police presence at public events and provide security for municipal gatherings Identify potential criminal activity or other hazardous situations and take the proper actions to protect citizens and property
