92A:Automated Logistical Specialist (92A)

These specialists supervise and maintain all different kinds of management and warehouse functions. They perform duties such as review of stock, unloading equipment, and recording data of stock.

Military Duties:

Whenever a unit or individual needs a specific part or piece of equipment, they will go to the Automated Logistical Specialist to get it. These soldiers follow procedures to ship, receive, store and issue stock. This position contains both computer work and manual labor. Specialists physically unload and store supplies in addition to collecting and analyzing shipping data.

Military Duties Translated:

The skills learned as a 92A can be used in civilian careers in logistics fields and warehouses. The software that specialists become proficient in, and the accounting they complete, allows soldiers to find similar careers as Logistics Coordinators, Bookkeepers, Purchasing Agents, or Shipping and Receiving Clerks. Performing stockroom procedures relates to civilian careers as Laborers, Freight Movers, Inspectors or Parts Clerk.
