Soldiers who work in the Utilities Equipment Repairer position are required to train on fixing almost 10 different types of equipment. They are required to know all of the EPA rules and regulations. Often, the importance of this position is not felt until they are needed. The importance of these soldiers are realized when an A/C unit stops working in a deployed area where the temperature is 120 degrees. The soldiers in this MOS both supervise and perform maintenance on equipment and any supporting system.
