Military Duties:

The M1 Abrams System Maintainer is responsible for performing maintenance on various system components of the Abrams Tank. The M1 Abrams Tank is the Army’s primary ground combat system. The tank can reach speeds up to 42 mph, has a 1,500 horsepower turbine engine, is easily maneuverable, has special armor and provides on-the-move lethal assault capabilities against enemies. Soldiers in this MOS are required to be familiar with all of the complex systems of the M1 Abrams. They will learn and apply electronic and mechanical principles to complete maintenance activities safely. They will use different test equipment on the tank.
