The weapons systems include the M220E4 TOW2 and M98A1 Javelin. Antitank Missileman – Tow Gunners provide support in anti-armor operations and tactical vehicle operations. The objective is to provide medium and heavy anti-armor fire in support of the Marine infantry and other specialized units like Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and Light-Armored Reconnaissance (LAR). The Antitank Missileman – Tow Gunner MOS falls under the anti-armor platoon within the weapons company. The weapons company in the Marines is part of infantry battalions, LAR battalions, tank battalions, and scout and anti-tank platoons.
