3P0X1:Security Forces (3P0X1)

They perform security force activities in support of 2/3 of the U.S. Nuclear Enterprise, weapon systems and physical security, law and order, military working dogs, combat arms, and area security operations.

Military Duties:

An Air Force Security Forces specialist may have different tasks depending on the role the person is in, but the overall goal is to protect the people, equipment, and assets of the Air Force. Some roles are similar to those of a civilian police officer. Individuals could be required to patrol the base, writing tickets and making traffic stops. Airman investigate incidents and crime scenes.

Military Duties Translated:

Conduct criminal investigations Obtain any necessary warrants and arrest suspects Be present in courtrooms and guard courthouses Gather evidence, interview witnesses and conduct any crime scene investigations Fill out forms and detailed reports Patrol their assigned sectors Operate their county jail
